The Portuguese language school in Maceio (Brazil) offers a couple different accommodation options. The typical option chosen by people who come to study and learn Portuguese in Maceio is to stay with a local host family. If you prefer not to stay with a local host family, the Portuguese language school can arrange apartments, guest houses or hotel accommodations in Maceio that will be a short distance from the language school.

Host Families
The Portuguese language school works with a variety of local families in Maceio. Most of the host families have worked the the Portuguese language school for many years and love receiving students from around the world. If you want another place in which to study, learn and practice your Portuguese language skills, staying with a host family is the best option. In addition to having a place to practice speaking Portuguese, living with a local host family in Maceio will also give you an insight into the culture of Brazil.

  • Your accommodations in the host family will start on the Sunday prior to your first Portuguese class and will end on the Saturday after your last Portuguese class on Friday.
  • Typically the host families are no more than 10-20 minutes away from the Portuguese language school in Maceio either by walking or by public transportation.
  • Breakfast and dinner is included with your host family stay.
  • Dinner is usually served between 6-8 pm.
  • Each student will receive a key to the house
  • Your room will be cleaned one time per week.
  • Bed linen is provided and cleaned once every 2 weeks.

Other Options
If you do not want to stay with a local host family that is not a problem. The Portuguese language school can make other arrangements for you in Maceio.
