Maceio: A City Overview

Maceio is one of the most important cities in the northeast region of Brazil. Today Maceio is the capital of the small state of Alagoas, and is home to some of the most beautiful beaches found anywhere in South America. Maceio is also considered to be a very modern city with a relaxed attitude.

The ocean and beaches around Maceio dominate the landscape. Tourists from around the world come to relax and enjoy the sun and water in this comfortable city. The beaches are incredible, and just offshore and reefs teeming with life, sand banks, and natural swimming pools. To top it off, year round the climate is considered to by a typical tropical climate. This means that no matter what time of year you come to Maceio, you can enjoy the beautiful outdoors.
